Haverfordwest County AFC are pleased to announce the signing of Oscar Borg until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
The defender, who came through the ranks at West Ham United, joins the Bluebirds for the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign.
Born in Surrey, Borg joined the Hammers at under-13 level and progressed through the academy setup in east London.
The 25-year-old left for Aston Villa in 2016, and spent over two years in the East Midlands before linking up with Braintree Town in the National League.
As a 16-year-old, Borg spent the summer of 2014 in pre-season training with Manchester United, where he played alongside the likes of Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay and Axel Tuanzebe, as the Red Devils won the Milk Cup competition in Northern Ireland.
He was then presented with the opportunity to move abroad to Spain to play for Arenas Club de Getxo, who competed in the then-Segunda División B, the third tier of Spanish football.
Since then, the attack-minded left-back has gone on to play for Icelandic sides Stjarnan and Haukar, with the latter based in Hafnarfjörður – where Haverfordwest County played in the UEFA Cup in 2003-04.
