Haverfordwest County will be looking to extend their unbeaten start to the season when they welcome Airbus UK Broughton to the Ogi Bridge Meadow in the JD Cymru Premier on Saturday.

The Bluebirds have four points to show for their efforts from the first two games of the season, following a 1-0 win over Caernarfon Town and the 1-1 draw away at Bala Town last Saturday.

The Wingmakers, who achieved promotion back to the top-flight after winning the JD Cymru North last season, are yet to get off the mark following defeats to Aberystwyth Town (1-2) and Connah’s Quay Nomads (0-1).

Saturday’s game will see the two teams meet in the Cymru Premier for the first time since the 2015-16 season.

The full-back returned for a second spell with the Wingmakers this summer, having previously been at the club between 2019 and 2020. A Wales ‘C’ international, Phillips is an important part of the team, with his long throw-ins a real weapon for the north Walians.

The 25-year-old has also played for the likes of Connah’s Quay Nomads, Cefn Druids, Bangor City and Newtown, and was part of the Flint Town United side that secured a fifth-placed finish in the JD Cymru Premier last season.
