Haverfordwest County turned on the style in a display of ruthless and clinical finishing to defeat Aberystwyth Town 6-0 at Park Avenue in the JD Cymru Premier Play-Off Conference on Tuesday evening.
Alhagi Touray Sisay was undoubtedly the man-of-the-match, as he netted a hat-trick – his first for the club – to send the Bluebirds on their way to a statement win in Ceredigion.
Jordan Davies, Ryan George and the returning Henry Jones also got on the scoresheet, as the Bluebirds found the net three times in the final 10 minutes to put gloss on the scoreline.
The commanding victory moves County five points clear of ninth placed Aber, and to within a point of Cardiff Metropolitan in seventh, after the Students drew 1-1 with Barry Town United.
Manager Nicky Hayen was not in attendance after feeling unwell overnight, but he was still very much involved in the preparations for the match, as he selected the same starting 11 that beat Cefn Druids 6-1 on Saturday. The only change came on the bench, where Henry Jones took the place of Alex Worley in his first game back from suspension.
The Bluebirds had the first opportunity of the game when Touray Sisay found himself one-on-one with Alex Pennock, but the goalkeeper did well to deny him from close range.

The in-form striker was not to be denied five minutes later though, when a quick one-two with Davies inside the area gave him the time and space to dink the ball over Pennock for his ninth league goal of the season.
Antonio Corbisiero’s side went close to levelling the game when Jamie Veale’s shot from 20 yards hit the crossbar before falling into the grateful arms of Lee Idzi. Just a minute later, Steffan Davies had a chance to score from inside the area, but he was unable to get the ball out from under his feet.
The Bluebirds went into the break a goal to the good, and things were to get even better for Hayen’s side when, for the third consecutive game, they scored within a minute of the restart to make it 2-0.
Jack Wilson’s long throw-in was directed for Touray Sisay, and did not touch the ground as the Spaniard showed excellent technique and awareness to swivel towards goal and direct the ball into the bottom right corner with the inside of his right foot.
It was 3-0 a quarter of an hour later, when Corey Shephard won the ball back in midfield before feeding Davies, whose pinpoint through ball played Touray Sisay in, and he made no mistake by firing past Pennock at the near post to complete his hat-trick and put County in dreamland.
It appeared that the Bluebirds were happy to sit on their comfortable lead and see the game out, however, with just over five minutes remaining, Aber were reduced to 10 men when defender Lee Jenkins brought Davies down inside the penalty area. Having earned the spot kick, Davies stepped up to take it and placed the ball into the bottom right corner, giving Pennock no chance.
Touray Sisay was having an excellent evening at his former home, and just a matter of minutes later he showed great desire to charge Pennock’s kick down, handing possession to substitute Danny Williams who gave him the ball back, before the striker found replacement Ryan George at the back post who had the simple task of tapping into an empty net from point-blank range for County’s fifth goal of the night.

County were brimming with confidence at this point, and there was still time for another goal as Henry Jones’ free-kick beat Pennock at the near post from an improbable angle to round off a wonderful night and make it four consecutive Cymru Premier victories.
