A Ben Fawcett goal just before the hour mark was enough to secure all 3 points for the Bluebirds.
In a quiet first half, it was the away side who had the first attempt at goal, when Marc Williams headed tamely into the arms of Wojciech Gajda. Danny Williams was lively early on, he raced down the left and fizzed a ball across the box but there was no Bluebird to tap home.
Williams was involved again, as he received the ball from Keetch, held it up in the box and played a pass to the on-rushing Keetch, but the right-footed strike was well wide of the goal. Keetch and Williams were proving a handful in the box, Williams back-heeled the ball into the path of Keetch whose low shot fizzed across the goal line.
However, the game was goalless at half time as neither side could take control of the game.
There was an early chance for Aber in the second half as a corner dropped at the far post, but Gajda rushed out to block the shot. At the other end, Scotcher sent an inviting free-kick to the front post, Danny Williams flicked on but the ball was cleared.
In what was a busy night for the Cardiff loanee, Williams was involved again as he raced down the right, passing Veale, and squared the ball for Ben Facwett who rolled the ball into the bottom corner to give the Bluebirds the lead.
The rest of the game was dominated by defensive actions by both sides, with few chances of note. The Bluebirds took all three points and a clean sheet.
