Haverfordwest County will be looking to halt a three-game losing run when we take on Cardiff Metropolitan at Cyncoed Campus tomorrow evening.
The Bluebirds went down 3-1 to high-flying Connah’s Quay Nomads at the Ogi Bridge Meadow on Saturday, despite a valiant effort to keep the game tight until the latter stages. The Archers, meanwhile, suffered a 5-1 defeat at home to leaders and reigning champions The New Saints on Friday evening.
That result aside, the Students have made a solid start to their campaign, with three wins and two draws to go with three defeats so far.
The previous meeting between the teams came in the European play-off semi-final back in May, when County secured a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory after the game had ended goalless in the capital.
The Town will be without striker Martell Taylor-Crossdale, who was shown a straight red card on Saturday, while Met will be missing stalwart Eliot Evans, who was dismissed late on against the Saints.
New signing Aidan MacNamara could be in line to feature for the first time after completing his move over the weekend, with the versatile 19-year-old brought in to strengthen our defensive options for the rest of the season.
