Haverfordwest County will compete in a JD Cymru Premier European play-off match for the first time tomorrow when we travel to the capital to take on Cardiff Metropolitan.
Having secured top spot in the Playoff Conference thanks to a strong performance in Phase Two, the Bluebirds have put themselves within two games of qualifying for Europe for the first time in two decades.
Tony Pennock’s men ended the regular season with a 4-1 victory over relegated Airbus UK Broughton, while the Students saw off Bala Town 2-1 at Cyncoed Campus.
The two teams have met twice so far this season, with the Town taking the spoils in the first encounter – 1-0 victory at the Ogi Bridge Meadow in September – while the Archers came out on top in December.
The winner of the game will face either Bala Town or Newtown – who square off at Maes Tegid this evening – for a place in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference league in the summer.
