Haverfordwest County bring the curtain down on their 2022-23 JD Cymru Premier regular season with a trip north to take on Airbus UK Broughton tomorrow afternoon.
The Bluebirds will be hoping to continue their momentum and their six-game unbeaten run in the Playoff Conference, which has seen them clinch top spot and a place in the end-of-season European play-offs.
Last time out, County drew 1-1 with Aberystwyth Town at the Ogi Bridge Meadow, while the relegated Wingmakers were defeated 3-1 at home by Flint Town United.
The Town last met the north Walians in March, when we ran out comfortable 4-0 winners thanks to goals from Ben Fawcett, Ioan Evans, Jamie Veale and Dan Hawkins. Although there is nothing to play for in terms of league position, there are plenty of records which the Bluebirds are on the brink of either extending or breaking.
Victory for Tony Pennock’s men would see them extend their record points tally in a 12-team JD Cymru Premier to 47, while, should we find the net, we would set a new record for goals scored (currently 45). Moreover, should we concede fewer than three goals, we would also set a new record for the fewest goals conceded in a top-flight, 12-team season (currently 46).
