Haverfordwest County welcome Brecon Corries to the Ogi Bridge Meadow on Saturday in the second round of the JD Welsh Cup (kick-off 14:00).
After COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the competition in the 2020-21 season, the Bluebirds will be looking to go one step further than they did in their last appearance, when they lost 2-1 to Cambrian and Clydach Vale in October 2019.
The Bluebirds enter the competition at this stage because of their Cymru Premier status, and will aim to build on their impressive 3-0 win over Goytre United in the Nathaniel MG Cup, when Kieran Lewis, Henry Jones and Corey Shephard were all on the scoresheet.
The visitors are appearing in the second round for the first time in six years, having reached the third round in the 2015-16 campaign, where they bowed out at the hands of Caerau Ely.
Damien Daniels’ side, who compete in the Mid Wales League East, have made an encouraging start to the season, winning four of their opening seven matches to sit fifth in the standings.
The Corries have already played three matches in the competition, overcoming Carno 6-0 in the first qualifying round before recording a 3-0 victory over Llandrindod Wells, which was followed by a resounding 8-3 away success over Caerau Ely which earned them a trip to Pembrokeshire tomorrow afternoon.
Tickets for the game are priced at £5.00 for adults and £3.00 for concessions, while under-16s go free.
There will once again be a fast-track option for supporters to gain entry to the match, by completing the medical questionnaire. Only those with the completed documents can go through the fast track.
If supporters wish to be part of the fast track entry, they are advised to print off and complete this Medical Questionnaire before the match. It can either be filled in at the gate or, ideally, completed beforehand for quick access.
