Haverfordwest County are pleased to confirm details of an exciting new project, Kicking Off Conversations, which will get underway in January 2026.
The project is designed to increase meaningful contact between children who may not otherwise interact, helping to reduce social isolation and build positive relationships.
We will welcome four primary schools across two separate events. The events will take place at the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium and will include interactive workshops, a behind-the-scenes stadium tour with a first team player Q&A session, and inclusive physical activity sessions on the club’s 3G artificial pitch.
The workshops will be delivered by Sandy Bear Children’s Bereavement Charity, who recently came on board as an Official Community Partner of Haverfordwest County AFC. Meanwhile, the physical activity elements will be supported by Sport Pembrokeshire and their young ambassadors.
The project has been enabled by the Community Cohesion Small Grants Fund, which supports projects that build strong relationships between communities, tackle tensions, promote inclusion, and celebrate diversity across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys.
