Haverfordwest County play their final home game until Boxing Day tomorrow, when we welcome Colwyn Bay to the Ogi Bridge Meadow for our first meeting in Pembrokeshire since April 2024.
The Bluebirds battled back to earn a deserved 2-2 draw away at high-flying Caernarfon Town last week. County were on top in the first half, but two goals in as many minutes with the hour mark approaching put the Canaries in a strong position. However, Owain Jones’ swift leveller gave the Town hope before Corey Shephard struck in the 99th minute to clinch his team a point in dramatic fashion.
The Seagulls recorded a 3-1 victory over Llanelli Town at the Blue Turtle Arena last Saturday. The north Walians fell behind to Tristan Jenkins’ early strike, but they hit back through Jordan Davies, Louis Robles and Jamie Cumming to claim all three points.
The most recent meeting between the sides came back in September. On that occasion, the Seagulls ran out 3-0 winners thanks to a brace from Jordan Davies and a goal from Louis Robles.
Tony Pennock’s men currently find themselves 11th in the standings. However, with the bottom six of the JD Cymru Premier still very tightly packed as we approach the conclusion to Phase One, the Bluebirds could climb to as high as ninth with a victory tomorrow.
