Haverfordwest County AFC will be looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat to The New Saints when they travel to Maes Tegid to take on Bala Town in the JD Cymru Premier Championship Conference tomorrow.
The Bluebirds suffered a 5-1 defeat to the champions-elect at Park Hall last Saturday, with Owain Jones scoring a solitary goal in front of the live Sgorio cameras.
The Lakesiders, meanwhile, were involved in a thrilling contest with Penybont at SDM Glass Stadium. Having twice come from behind to draw themselves level, Bala conceded in the fifth minute of added time to suffer an agonising 3-2 defeat in Bridgend.
The most recent meeting between the sides came back in January. On that occasion, the Town ran out 3-2 winners. Osebi Abadaki had given Bala the lead, but a brace from Dan Hawkins and a goal from Ben Ahmun put County in a commanding position before Aeron Edwards struck late on to ensure a nervy ending, but Tony Pennock’s men did enough to hold on for the three points.
Haverfordwest County currently find themselves third in the standings, six points behind second place Penybont and seven points clear of Cardiff Metropolitan and Caernarfon Town with five games remaining in Phase Two.
