Haverfordwest County AFC make the journey to Park Hall tomorrow to face The New Saints, as we enter the final six matches of Phase One in the JD Cymru Premier.

The Bluebirds come into the game on the back of last Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Flint Town United at LHP Stadium, a result which extended our unbeaten run in all competitions to eight matches. Ben Fawcett netted a brace after Ben Ahmun’s penalty and Greg Walters’ early goal had made it 2-0 before Florian Yonsian halved the deficit.

The Saints were in action as recently as Thursday, as they suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at Shamrock Rovers in the league phase of the UEFA Conference League. Jordan Williams had given the Oswestry side the lead, before Johnny Kenny and Dylan Watts struck to secure victory for the Irish side.

The most recent meeting between the sides came back in September. On that occasion, Adrian Cieślewicz’s first-half goal decided a competitive contest at LHP Stadium.

Tony Pennock’s men currently find themselves third in the standings. A victory would see us leapfrog the Saints into second, while our five-point buffer over fourth place Cardiff Metropolitan means we will at least maintain our position regardless of results this weekend.
