Haverfordwest County AFC’s focus turns to the JD Welsh Cup tomorrow, as we welcome Trethomas Bluebirds to LHP Stadium for second round action.

The Pembrokeshire Bluebirds are currently on a six-game unbeaten run, which has seen us climb to second place in the JD Cymru Premier. Our most recent outing was on Tuesday evening, when we defeated Briton Ferry Llansawel 2-1 at Old Road thanks to goals from Owain Jones and Lee Jenkins.

The Caerphilly Bluebirds have also made a strong start to the campaign, and they currently find themselves leading the way in the JD Cymru South in what is their first season in the second tier with six wins, three draws and just two defeats from their 11 league outings to date.

The two sides have met once before, also in the JD Welsh Cup, as County were defeated 2-1 at CSE Ystrad Mynach in October 2022. Jack Wilson had given the Town an early lead, but a brace from Levi Rees – including a goal in the 93rd minute – saw Mark Dunford’s side advance in the competition.
