Haverfordwest County AFC return to LHP Stadium on Saturday for the first of three home games in October, as we welcome Connah’s Quay Nomads looking to build on back-to-back victories in the JD Cymru Premier.

The Bluebirds produced an impressive display to run out 2-0 winners over Bala Town at Maes Tegid last Friday, with a first league goal of the season for Ben Fawcett and the returning Rhys Abbruzzese’s strike securing a well deserved victory in Gwynedd.

The Nomads were victorious over basement side Aberystwyth Town last Friday, a result which ended a five-game winless run in the league. Fumpa Mwandwe, Jack Kenny and former Bluebird Elliott Dugan were on target in a 3-0 success at Essity Stadium.

The most recent meeting between the sides came on the opening day of the season, with County coming out on top 1-0 on that occasion thanks to a penalty from Ben Ahmun nine minutes into the second half, which was the striker’s first league goal for the Town.

Tony Pennock’s side currently find themselves second in the table, and a victory could see us close the gap on leaders Penybont. Tomorrow’s visitors are seven places and 10 points further back, with three wins, two draws and five defeats so far.
