Haverfordwest County will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run and finish Phase One of the 2025-26 JD Cymru Premier season on a high when the Bluebirds welcome Briton Ferry Llansawel to the Ogi Bridge Meadow on Tuesday evening.
The Blues shared the spoils with Cardiff Metropolitan in our final game of 2025 on December 30 after a goalless draw at Cyncoed Campus. Substitute Greg Walters had the best opportunity of the match in the second minute of stoppage time when his close-range header was saved, but in truth a point was a fair result.
The Reds came out on top against in-form Barry Town United in their most recent outing on New Year’s Eve. Tom Walters’ free-kick gave Ferry an early lead, and although captain Alex Gammond twice missed from the penalty spot, Andy Dyer’s men were able to claim all three points as Ollie Anderson netted inside the final 20 minutes.
The most recent meeting between the sides came back in August. On that occasion, the Bluebirds claimed a dramatic late victory thanks to Alaric Jones’ header deep into added time at the Renewable Centre Stadium.
Tony Pennock’s men currently find themselves eighth in the standings, one place and two points ahead of the Reds. A victory for the Blues could see us end Phase One level on points with seventh place Cardiff Metropolitan. The team who finishes seventh at the end of Phase Two clinches the final place in the end-of-season European play-offs, with an exciting conclusion to the season guaranteed.
