Haverfordwest County are delighted to officially unveil our new club mascot, Barti the Bluebird!

Barti was designed by the very talented Afya Kinver, a member of our Academy setup, who took part in our design competition which gave pupils across Pembrokeshire the opportunity to be part of history by having their drawing adopted by the club.

The designs were narrowed down to two, with our first team and development players voting for their favourite.

Barti is predominantly blue, and features a castle on its head and body, a nod to Haverfordwest Castle which is located nearby to the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium.

The name Barti has strong links to the county, with legendary pirate Barti Ddu (Black Bart), born John Roberts in Pembrokeshire in the 1600s, recognised as the last great pirate of piracy’s Golden Age.

Barti’s first contribution was to feature in our Christmas video for 2025, which was filmed in collaboration with our official community parnter, Sandy Bear Children’s Bereavement Charity, and promotes the important message of always having someone to talk to – particularly during the festive period. You can watch the video by following this link.

Afya was delighted to feature in the video, and said it was “magical to see my drawing come to life”.

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the design competition and our partners Sandy Bear for agreeing to take part in our video.

You will be able to see Barti for the first time at our game with Llanelli Town at the Ogi Bridge Meadow on Boxing Day. Tickets can be purchased by following this link!
