Haverfordwest County return to action with a trip to Jenner Park to take on Barry Town United in the JD Cymru Premier on Friday evening.

The Bluebirds last took to the field on November 15 when we defeated top six hopefuls Colwyn Bay 1-0 at the Ogi Bridge Meadow. Rhys Abbruzzese’s second-half goal was enough to secure the three points in front of 767 spectators.

The Linnets claimed a 6-0 victory over Llanelli Town at Stebonheath Park in the JD Welsh Cup last Friday. Striker Ollie Hulbert netted a brace, with Eliot Richards, Keston Davies, Ieuan Owen and Dan Barton also on the scoresheet.

The most recent meeting between the sides came at the start of November. On that occasion, Barry ran out 2-0 winners in the last eight of the Nathaniel MG Cup thanks to goals from Hulbert and Owen.

Pennock’s men currently find themselves 10th in the standings. However, with six games of Phase One still left to play, the gap to the top six stands at five points, with plenty of teams still battling away for a coveted spot in the Championship Conference. County will be looking to build on their positive recent run of performances in the league in order to climb up what is a very tightly-packed bottom half of the table.
