Haverfordwest County will be showing their support for Show Racism the Red Card’s Month of Action campaign in our fixture against Bala Town at the Ogi Bridge Meadow this Friday.
Players will be holding up the “Show Racism the Red Card” Card before the game to promote anti-racism and demonstrate our club’s stance against racism in football and wider society.
Show Racism the Red Card is an anti-racism educational charity. They work to challenge racism through empowering role models within communities, organisations, and sports to dismantle racism in society.
They do this by:
- Providing high quality education and resources to educate young people
- Embedding anti-racism ethos into policy and practice and educating adults
- Investing in their organisation and people to continually and professionally develop colleagues to
maximise their impact
During October, football clubs across Wales show their support for Show Racism the Red Card by delivering a match-day action, demonstrating their stance on eradicating racism from the beautiful game. These actions act as a vehicle to deliver an anti-racism message to the community through the power of sport.
Please support the players in saying NO to racism. If you witness racism, report it to the steward or club official.
