Haverfordwest County are back on the road this weekend with a trip to north Wales to take on newly-promoted Colwyn Bay at the Blue Turtle Arena.
The Bluebirds were victorious in the Nathaniel MG Cup in midweek, defeating Swansea City under-21s 4-1 at the Ogi Bridge Meadow to reach the quarter-finals. Goals from Owain Jones, Greg Walters, Luc Owen and Ben Ahmun saw Tony Pennock’s men advance to the last eight.
The Seagulls’ most recent outing came last Saturday when they recorded their first league victory of the season by seeing off Cardiff Metropolitan 4-1 at Cyncoed Campus. Louis Robles netted a brace, with former Bluebird Jordan Davies and defender Lewis Sirrell also getting on the scoresheet.
The most recent meeting between the sides came back in April 2024. On that occasion, the Bluebirds ran out 3-1 winners at the Ogi Bridge Meadow thanks to goals from Rhys Abbruzzese, Lee Jenkins and Ben Fawcett. Tom McCready netted a stoppage time consolation.
County currently find themselves 10th in the table, two points and three places further back from the Seagulls. However, a victory for Pennock’s men would see the Town leapfrog the Bay.
