Haverfordwest County can confirm that Lee Jenkins has departed the club after three years, having agreed a move to Newport County in Sky Bet League Two.
The defender linked up with the Bluebirds in the summer of 2022 from Aberystwyth Town, and went on to become a pivotal part of the side during his three years at the Ogi Bridge Meadow.
Jenks made 109 appearances in all competitions for the Town, and was twice named in the JD Cymru Premier Team of the Season, as well as receiving international recognition with Cymru C.
The 23-year-old created history in July 2023 when he became just the second Haverfordwest County player to score in Europe, as his 89th-minute goal against KF Shkëndija took our UEFA Europa Conference League first qualifying round tie to extra time, before County triumphed on penalties at Cardiff City Stadium.

Lee’s consistent performances during his time with us saw him elevate himself to becoming arguably the stand-out defender in the JD Cymru Premier, and everyone at the club is excited to follow his progress during this next phase of his career.
Commenting on the news, manager Tony Pennock said: “We are so pleased to see Lee take this opportunity of joining Newport County.
“Lee has played a big part in our success over the last three seasons, playing over 100 games.
“His goal against Shkëndija be forever remembered. He leaves with our thanks, and will always have a fond welcome along with his family at the Ogi Bridge Meadow.
“We would like to thank everyone at Newport County for their professionalism and respect shown to our club throughout the process, and wish them the very best for the coming season.”
