Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Luc Rees, who joins the club ahead of the 2025-26 season!
Luc becomes our first signing of the summer transfer window, and arrives at the Ogi Bridge Meadow on a two-year contract, having most recently played for fellow JD Cymru Premier side Barry Town United.
The 22-year-old came through the academy setup at Swansea City before going on to have spells with Forest Green Rovers, Fleetwood Town and Widnes.
Luc made 34 appearances in all competitions during his time at Jenner Park, and now links up with a Bluebirds side who are gearing up for their second European adventure in three seasons, with the first qualifying round draw set to take place at UEFA headquarters in Geneva on Tuesday 17 June.
Commenting on the news, manager Tony Pennock said: “I’ve known Luc for many years and always kept an eye on his career.
“He’s had lots of different experiences for a young goalkeeper, which is always beneficial, and he’s worked with some excellent coaches.
“I always want competition for places, and having two very young but talented goalkeepers is a vital area of our squad, and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.
“I’d like to thank Steve Jenkins and Barry Town United for their assistance from our initial approach and subsequent signing of Luc.”
Upon signing his contract, Luc said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be joining such a fantastic club.
“From everything that’s been happening not just on the pitch but off it too, there was only one place I wanted to be.
“I can’t wait to meet the players, staff, and supporters, and I’m really looking forward to a big exciting summer ahead.”
