Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to confirm that Kyle Kenniford has agreed a new one-year contract with the club.
The 20-year-old midfielder linked up with the Bluebirds ahead of the 2024-25 season, having come through the academy system at Cardiff City, and made his debut in the 3-0 victory over Newtown in August.
Kyle enjoyed an encouraging first season in senior football, making 26 appearances in all competitions, and he can now look forward to a first European campaign after County secured their place in the UEFA Conference League qualifying rounds for the second time in three years.
Kyle is part of the strong contingent of local Pembrokeshire talent that forms a major part of the Bluebirds’ first team squad, with no fewer than 15 players from the county featuring throughout the 2024-25 campaign.
Commenting on the news, manager Tony Pennock said: “I’m extremely pleased that Kyle has re-signed.
“From day one coming into the club, his attitude and application has been fantastic. Darren Purse at Cardiff City was spot on with his recommendation, and Kyle has got better with every game this season.
“I can only see Kyle improving again and when he adds goals to his game – which he is working very hard at – then he will be an even bigger asset to our club.
Upon signing his new contract, Kyle said: “It’s been a great season for everyone involved at the club, and I’m proud to have been a part of it.
“I’m delighted to have signed again, and I’m hoping to build on last season’s success both individually and collectively.”
