Haverfordwest County AFC will be looking to get back on the winning trail when Caernarfon Town visit the Ogi Bridge Meadow in the JD Cymru Premier Championship Conference on Saturday afternoon.

Despite a positive overall performance, the Bluebirds suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Penybont last Friday. Ben Ahmun’s header gave the Town the lead, but goals from Owen Pritchard and James Crole turned things around as County tasted their first loss since returning to the Ogi Bridge Meadow.

The Canaries, meanwhile, recorded a commanding 5-0 victory at home to Bala Town last Friday. A brace apiece for Louis Lloyd and Sam Downey, along with an own goal from Kieran Lloyd, ensured Richard Davies’ men ended their two-game losing run in style.

The most recent meeting between the sides came back in February. On that occasion, the two sides had to settle for a share of the spoils after Ben Fawcett’s well-taken opener was cancelled out by Lloyd.

Tony Pennock’s men currently find themselves third in the standings. A victory for the Bluebirds would guarantee at least a third place finish for the Town, with the Canaries currently five points behind in fourth and Cardiff Metropolitan six points further back in fifth.
