Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to confirm that Ben Ahmun has agreed a new one-year contract with the club!
Having linked up with the Bluebirds last summer, the striker has been an important part of the first team setup so far this season, netting nine goals to date to ensure he sits top of our scoring charts with five games left to play in the regular season.
Ben made an immediate impact for the Town when he netted the winning goal away at Connah’s Quay Nomads in our opening game of the season, with his penalty ensuring we made the perfect start to the new campaign.
He followed this up with a goal away at Caernarfon Town a week later, as County ran out 2-1 winners at the Carling Oval to make it back-to-back victories in north Wales to start their 2024-25 campaign.
The 33-year-old has featured in all but one of our 27 games in the JD Cymru Premier so far this term, contributing further goals against Aberystwyth Town, Barry Town United, Flint Town United and Bala Town, with his brace against Briton Ferry Llansawel at the Ogi Bridge Meadow on January 4 one of his stand-out performances of the season to date.

Commenting on the news, manager Tony Pennock said: “Ben has been a great addition to our squad this season.
“He brings different qualities to our forward line, and his experience in the Cymru Premier was an important factor when he joined us.
“Ben extending his contract is a big boost for us moving forward and shows how much he continues to enjoy his football.
“We are keen to not only end this season on a high but continue to improve next season, and Ben will play a big part in our aims as a club.”
Upon signing his new contract, Ben said: “I’ve enjoyed my first year here and feel really settled with the squad and management team.
“We are really ambitious, and it was an easy decision to commit for another year.
“The goal is to to continue to help the team achieve the success we want moving forward.”
