Haverfordwest County AFC will be hoping to maintain their positive start to the JD Cymru Premier Championship Conference when the Bluebirds head north to take on Caernarfon Town on Saturday.
County were most recently in action last Saturday, when we played out a goalless draw with high-flying Penybont at SDM Glass Stadium.
The Canaries’ opening game of Phase Two with The New Saints on Friday 24 January was postponed, with the north Walians able to extend their two-game winning streak with a 3-1 victory away at Bala Town last Friday. TNS loanee Josh Lock netted a brace, with Adam Davies also finding the net to secure the win at Maes Tegid.
The most recent meeting between the sides came back in October. On that occasion, the points were shared after a goalless draw in front of the live Sgorio cameras at LHP Stadium in Carmarthen. A stoppage time winner from Owain Jones settled the previous encounter between the sides at the Carling Oval, after Ben Ahmun’s goal had been cancelled out by Matty Jones.
Tony Pennock’s men currently find themselves third in the standings, seven points behind second place Penybont and seven points clear of tomorrow’s opponents in fourth.
