Haverfordwest County AFC (HCAFC) and Morley Sports Management Limited (MSM) are delighted to welcome Clive Margetts and Oli Luke to its Board of Directors.
Clive has 24 yearsβ experience taking multiple businesses from start up, to profit, to exit, spanning five sectors, and specialises in mergers and acquisitions. He has a track record of acquiring multiple businesses and driving them to the next level.
Oli has successfully operated marketing agencies and services for the last 11 years in multiple industries, including taking a marketing agency from a start up to a $10m valuation in four years. Alongside Clive, they operate a highly successful digital marketing business in the US.
Both will be active in the club’s growing agenda, and supporting the rest of the Board, Chairman Rob Edwards, Vice-Chair Mared Pemberton, Ben Tyler and Neil Thomas, in building larger and wider-spanning partnerships and raising investment to grow the infrastructure and awareness of both HCAFC and MSM.
Upon formally joining the Board, Clive stated: “I am delighted to join this mission and contribute to the off-field initiatives that underpin the success on the pitch. By further strengthening the foundations behind the scenes, we can unlock new opportunities and create more history. This is a tremendous opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and passionate team to help bring this ambitious vision to life.”
Oli followed up by saying: “Iβm incredibly excited to be a part of this project. By building on the solid foundations in place and driving the awareness of the club’s past and future achievements, we can help raise the profile significantly of Haverfordwest County AFC and the wider MSM projects. It is more than just a role to me, and I am extremely invested in this challenge already.”
Chairman Rob Edwards was delighted to have both additions secured, and added: “Clive and Oli are extremely successful individuals and are passionate about football and the wider sporting landscape, and about driving projects forward.
“To attract two such individuals to our project shows the credibility in what has been achieved so far. We have been vocal about the plans we have at the club, and it has stretched our current Board significantly with the developments over the last 12 months, so I am looking forward to working with both and I am very confident of the impact they will have.β
All at Haverfordwest County AFC would like to extend a warm welcome to both Clive and Oli.
Uppa Blues!
