Haverfordwest County AFC are pleased to confirm that Elliot Scotcher will make his return from a lengthy injury layoff by joining fellow JD Cymru Premier side Aberystwyth Town for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Elliot’s most recent game for the Bluebirds was on December 31, 2022, with a knee issue keeping him out of action since then.

The 30-year-old has been a key part of the team since our return to the JD Cymru Premier in 2020, and he has worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to get himself back into a position where he is fit to play.

This move will ensure Elliot can test himself at the highest level of Welsh football once more, playing in competitive matches on a weekly basis.

Commenting on the news, manager Tony Pennock said: Elliot hasn’t played for two years after suffering with a knee problem, so for him to have the opportunity to play matches in the Cymru Premier is something that was too good to turn down.

“We look forward to seeing him back playing matches, and he will continue to train with us during this time.

“Elliot has been a model professional during this period. He has worked hard with the medical staff, and we can only wish him all the best for the rest of the season.”

Everyone at Haverfordwest County AFC wishes you all the best, Scotch!

Elliot provided an insight into his injury, the rehabilitation process and much more when he appeared on an episode of The Bluebirds Nest, our club podcast series:
