Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to announce the launch of the Bluebirds Bootroom!

With access to the new 3G pitch just around the corner, Haverfordwest County AFC are giving everyone the opportunity to donate and recycle unused boots (childrens and adults – preferably moulded studs) to be used as spares. These boots will be cleaned and stored at the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium, providing a back-up for participants using the 3G who do not have the correct footwear.

The Bluebirds Bootroom will support the upkeep of the new playing surface and increase the safety of all pitch users, along with providing an opportunity to swap boots. We hope this will be beneficial when boots become too small or unused.

Instead of paying potentially astronomical prices for a new pair and simply throwing the old ones away, you will be able to donate the outgrown or no longer used footwear, and take home a more suitable pair. We also hope this will support the community at expensive times of the year, such as Christmas and birthdays.

Before the club are able to support the swapping of boots, and potentially partner with local organisations regarding a larger community scheme, a bank of footwear needs to be collected in readiness for the first fixture at the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium on New Year’s Day vs. Aberystwyth Town. Therefore, the club have two drop-off slots for people to kindly donate boots they no longer use to help support the launch of the Bluebirds Bootroom.

Haverfordwest County AFC would be extremely grateful if boots (childrens & adults – preferably moulded studs) could be donated during the following slots. However, please do not feel obliged to do so:

  • Thursday 19 December 2pm – 5pm at the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium
  • Friday 20 December 2pm – 5pm at the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium
