Haverfordwest County AFC will be looking to sign off from their league campaign at LHP Stadium on a high when we welcome Briton Ferry Llansawel on Friday evening.
The Bluebirds suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to JD Cymru Premier leaders Penybont on Tuesday evening, with Mael Davies’ strike either side of two disallowed goals for the Town proving decisive in Bridgend.
The Ferry claimed a dramatic late victory over Newtown on Tuesday. Aaron Williams’ goal gave the Robins the lead with 19 minutes of normal time remaining, but Corey Hurford equalised eight minutes later and then, in the 17th minute of time added on, Alex Gammond scored the winning goal to lift his team out of the relegation zone for the time being – before Flint Town United’s win over Aberystwyth Town on Wednesday saw the Old Road side return to 11th place.
The most recent meeting between the sides came on 15 October. On that occasion, County ran out 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Owain Jones and Lee Jenkins either side of Kian Jenkins’ equaliser.
Tony Pennock’s side currently find themselves third in the table with four games of our Phase One campaign remaining. A victory would move us one step closer to clinching a place in the top six for Phase Two.
