Haverfordwest County AFC return to JD Cymru Premier action on Tuesday evening when we travel to Bridgend to take on Penybont under the lights.
The Bluebirds were last in action on 23 November, when we drew 0-0 with Bala Town at LHP Stadium. This was County’s 10th clean sheet of the season, with Tony Pennock’s men having conceded only eight times in their 17 league matches to date.
Bont’s previous fixture on the same day as they suffered a 3-2 defeat away at The New Saints, despite having led 2-0. James Crole’s brace had put Penybont in a strong position, but second-half goals from Josh Pask, Danny Davies and Danny Redmond turned things around for the champions at Park Hall.
The most recent league meeting between the sides came on 23 August, when the spoils were shared after a goalless draw at LHP Stadium.
Haverfordwest County currently find themselves third in the table, knowing that a positive result would take us a step closer to securing a top six finish. Penybont, meanwhile, currently lead the way by a point, although The New Saints do have a game in hand.
