Haverfordwest County boss Tony Pennock has been named the JD Cymru Premier Manager of the Month for October!

Tony has been recognised following an impressive month from his Bluebirds team, as we went unbeaten throughout October with two wins and two draws, along with JD Welsh Cup second round victory over Trethomas Bluebirds. County were just one of only two sides, along with current leaders Penybont, to not taste defeat in October.

This is the fifth time that the manager has been given this accolade, after previously winning it in August 2024, November 2023, April 2023 and December 2022. Tony was competing with Barry Town United’s Steve Jenkins and Craig Harrison from The New Saints, with the results of an online poll combined with a league and independent voting panel to determine the winner.

The stand-out result last month was the 2-0 victory away at Bala Town, as goals from Ben Fawcett and Rhys Abbruzzese earned the Bluebirds an impressive win at Maes Tegid.

This win in Gwynedd started the month off in perfect fashion, and the Town would go on to draw with last season’s runners-up and JD Welsh Cup winners Connah’s Quay Nomads at LHP Stadium before battling to a hard-fought away win over Briton Ferry Llansawel, as October concluded with a goalless draw at home to top six contenders Caernarfon Town.

Congratulations on the award, Tony!
