Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to confirm the details of an exciting new partnership with a free-to-play football video game, UFL.
The upcoming game, which is set to be released later this year, will be available to play on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
UFL is set to deliver exceptional gameplay that rewards gaming ability, enabling players to build their club from the ground up and rise to the top with a skill-first approach towards football gaming.
The game held two Open Beta testing weekends earlier in June and August. During these events, over 1.5 million clubs were created in more than 100 countries. The most popular countries were the UK, Brazil, Germany, the US, Italy, France, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Spain, and Portugal.
As part of the agreement, we will become the first JD Cymru Premier team to feature in a video game of this kind, with our squad, home and away kits and the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium fully rendered to provide a realistic experience for players.
In addition to this, the UFL logo will be proudly displayed on the front of our training shirts, which will be worn during our pre-match warm-ups before every game in the JD Cymru Premier, as well as any JD Welsh Cup or Nathaniel MG Cup ties.
Some of UFL’s licensed clubs announced to date include Aris FC, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, AS Monaco FC, Beşiktaş JK, Hashtag United FC and PSV Eindhoven, and we are very excited to be added to this growing list as anticipation ahead of the release of the game continues to build.
“We are extremely excited to be partnering with UFL, to be able to bring Haverfordwest County to a global gaming audience is a huge step for us. We can’t wait for fans new and old to enjoy playing with our fully licensed content in-game.”
Ben Tyler, Commercial & Marketing Director, Haverfordwest County
“With UFL, we aim not only to entertain football gamers but also to support semi-professional clubs and their devoted fans. We are excited to lay the foundation of our collaboration with Haverfordwest County AFC and eagerly look forward to expanding on it in the near future”.
Aleksei Semenchenko, Business Development Director, Strikerz Inc.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to UFL for their valued support, and we look forward to working with them throughout the course of the 2024-25 season.
