Haverfordwest County AFC head to the Welsh capital on Bank Holiday Monday for a meeting with Cardiff Metropolitan at Cyncoed Campus, as two of the JD Cymru Premier’s unbeaten sides go head-to-head.

The Bluebirds shared the spoils with Penybont on Friday evening in a goalless draw at LHP Stadium in Carmarthen, while the Archers were 5-1 winners at newly-promoted Briton Ferry Llansawel, with Ryan Reynolds, Matt Chubb, Lewis Rees, CJ Craven and Jake Morris all on target.

Ryan Jenkins’ side have made a positive start to their campaign, with a 2-1 victory away at newly-promoted Flint Town United on the opening day followed up by a 1-1 draw at home to Barry Town United before their win at Old Road on Friday evening.

The previous meeting between the sides came all the way back in November in what was the second of two 1-1 draws between the sides in the 2023-24 campaign. Tom Vincent’s goal had given the Students the lead at the Ogi Bridge Meadow, before striker Ben Fawcett equalised on the stroke of half time.

The Archers currently find themselves joint-top of the standings after the opening three games, along with the Bluebirds, with victory for either side tomorrow likely to see them take top spot.
