Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to announce the appointment of Mikey Loveridge as our Head of Women’s and Girls’ Football.

Mikey will be a familiar name to those involved in girls’ football in Pembrokeshire, with his Rising Stars Football Coaching academy having built a strong reputation for providing opportunities to aspiring footballers.

Mikey has been working closely with the club for the last few months, following the announcement of our strategic partnership with Rising Stars back in December.

The club has publicly stated its ambition to create a ladies football team in the future, and Mikey’s role will play a vital part in helping us work towards this goal as we continue to develop the next generation of female players in Pembrokeshire.

Training sessions for the various girls’ age groups are already well under way ahead of the upcoming season, with players recently having the opportunity to train on the Ogi Bridge Meadow pitch.

Commenting on his appointment, Mikey said: “I am delighted to have taken on the role as Head of Women’s and Girls’ football at Haverfordwest County AFC.

“I have so much passion and determination to drive the female game to new heights in Pembrokeshire, and give all of these talented local girls the chance to progress further in their footballing journey through the FAW Pathway.

“I’m also looking forward to building relationships throughout the Pembrokeshire community, helping to increase participation levels to support girls’ grassroots football.

“It’s a really great opportunity for myself and our team of coaches to build on whats already been a successful start to our new era for girls’ football at Haverfordwest County, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
