Yesterday afternoon saw us hold our 2023-24 end-of-season awards presentation at the Ogi Bridge Meadow.
With the sun shining throughout the day, the event gave the club the perfect opportunity to reflect and celebrate what has been a very long campaign with plenty of ups and downs along the way.
Proceedings got under way with Chief Operating Officer, Beccy Nuttall, providing an overview of the season and ensuring that our memorable European campaign last summer was not forgotten, with every player and member of staff who was involved presented with a personalised hip flask as a memento of an incredible few weeks in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying, which saw us win a tie for the first time in the club’s 125-year history.
Moving into the presentations, we began by celebrating the fantastic achievement of our Development team, who were recently crowned champions of the Cymru Premier Development League South. Stephen Thornton, the Public Affairs Manager for Valero Pembroke Refinery, who have been loyal supporters of the Academy for many years, gave a speech which focused on the team’s achievement and the ongoing community work carried out by the refinery.
We would like to thank everyone who played their part in helping to ensure the day was a real success and enjoyed by everyone.
Congratulations to all of the various award winners on the day!
