Rhys Abbruzzese has been named the JD Cymru Premier Player of the Month for March!

The Bluebirds defender has been in fine form throughout the season, and of late he has played a big role in County’s push to secure a seventh place finish in the league, and qualification for the end-of-season European play-offs.

Rhys played every minute as the Town collected seven points to maintain top spot in the Playoff Conference, with his trademark front-footed style as crucial as ever to the way we play.

His performances earned him a call up to the Cymru C squad for the game against England C at Stebonheath Park in Llanelli, alongside fellow Bluebirds defender Lee Jenkins, and although he didn’t feature on the pitch his inclusion was recognition for a stellar season to date.

As well as forming part of a County defence that kept three clean sheets in our four league outings in March, Rhys also provided a goal and an assist, as he set up Dan Hawkins for the opener in the 2-0 win over Aberystwyth Town before keeping his nerve to slot the winning penalty in the 1-0 success at Pontypridd United on Good Friday.

Congratulations, Abu!
