Haverfordwest County AFC are pleased to confirm Ioan Evans will be rejoining the club for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

The 22-year-old returns for a second spell with the Bluebirds after spending the 2022-23 season at the Ogi Bridge Meadow, and will provide added depth to the squad for what is set to be a crucial final two weeks of the regular season.

Having played his part in helping the club end our 19-year wait to return to Europe, Ioan departed the Town at the end of the 2022-23 season to take up an opportunity to join Glacis United in Gibraltar.

A versatile player who is comfortable playing left full-back, left wing-back, in central midfield or attacking midfield, Ioan was a popular member of the squad in his first spell with County, and will be no stranger to Bluebirds supporters.

Ioan scored three goals for the Bluebirds last term, including a late free-kick against Pontypridd United on New Year’s Eve and the winner in the 1-0 away victory over Aberystwyth Town in March 2023.

Commenting on the news, manager Tony Pennock said: “It’s great to have Ioan back at the club. He’s been training really well and is keen to play his part in the run in.

“His versatility is a big asset and a great addition to our current squad.”
