Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to confirm that Jack Wilson has agreed a one-year extension to his current contract with the club.
The 22-year-old is the one of the longest-serving members of the current squad, having made over 150 appearances for the Bluebirds since breaking into the First Team squad in the 2018-19 season.
A versatile player who is comfortable in a variety of positions including wing-back, winger and striker, Jack featured in all four of our UEFA Europa Conference League ties in the summer, having played an important role in helping us get there with 29 league appearances and six goals last season.
Jack has once again been a key part of the team this season with 20 appearances to his name so far, with his direct style of play proving to be a useful weapon either from the start or off the bench.
A firm favourite amongst the Haverfordwest County supporters, Jack was one of the successful penalty takers in the dramatic shoot-out victory over KF Shkëndija at the Cardiff City Stadium back in July, with his unsaveable spot-kick finding the top right corner to help us on our way to a famous win.
Upon signing his new contract, Jack said: “I’m delighted to be extending my time here, and I’m excited for another year with the club I love so much.
“With Phase Two about to start up, hopefully as a club we can have the same experiences as last season.”
Commenting on the news, manager Tony Pennock said: “Jack has been an important member of our squad for several seasons.
“He has put himself forward to play this season despite carrying an injury, and this shows his character and desire to play for our club.”
