Haverfordwest County AFC are pleased to announce the signing of Declan Carroll, who joins us for the remainder of the season.

The attacking midfielder returns to the club having previously played for the Bluebirds in three different spells between 2012 and 2018, and will be a familiar face to Town supporters.

Most recently, Declan has been playing for Pembrokeshire Football League Division One side, Monkton Swifts, and contributed four goals and three assists in his six league appearances this season.

The 30-year-old has previous top-flight experience under his belt with the likes of Aberystwyth Town and Carmarthen Town, as well as with County.

Declan will add a different dimension to the squad as we prepare for the start of Phase Two, which promises to be an exciting conclusion to what has been an unpredictable JD Cymru Premier season to date.

Commenting on Declan’s arrival, manager Tony Pennock said: “Signing someone with Declan’s experience will be a big help to our squad for the rest of the season.

“It’s refreshing that Declan contacted me directly to discuss training with us, and he’s worked extremely hard for the last six weeks or so.

“His talent is obvious to see, and we look forward to seeing him back playing for the Bluebirds over the next few months.

“He’s shown a great attitude to training and he’s getting fitter every week, and we’re hoping that he’ll play a big part in our aim of finishing seventh. We all know how tough that will be, and to do so I need as many players as possible to be available.”
