Haverfordwest County boss Tony Pennock has been named the JD Cymru Premier Manager of the Month for November!
Tony has been recognised following an impressive month from his Bluebirds team, as we went unbeaten throughout November with three wins and a draw. No side picked up more points (7) in the league than Haverfordwest County across this period.
This is the third time that the boss has been given this accolade, after previously winning it in December 2022 and April 2023. Tony was competing with Colwyn Bay’s Steve Evans and Craig Harrison from The New Saints, with the results of an online poll combined with a league and independent voting panel to determine the winner.
The stand-out result last month was undoubtedly the 2-1 win away at high-flying Connah’s Quay Nomads, who currently sit second in the table and had not lost at the Essity Stadium since moving there at the start of the season. Moreover, this was their first home defeat in 30 outings, going back to their time at the Deeside Stadium.
Prior to this victory, County had started November with a commanding 5-0 win over Colwyn Bay at the Ogi Bridge Meadow, with a clinical display setting us up for what would be a positive month.
We then recorded a 2-0 success over Ammanford in the JD Welsh Cup, before the aforementioned win over the Nomads. November concluded with a 1-1 draw at home to top six hopefuls Cardiff Metropolitan, a result which kept the Town in the hunt for a place in the top half come the split in January.
Congratulations on the award, Tony!
