Haverfordwest County AFC are pleased to confirm that Rhys Mansell has been appointed our new head of academy goalkeeping.
Following the departure of James Devonald last week, we have acted quickly to finalise a replacement, ensuring a smooth transition and limited disruption.
Having previously coached in the academy setup, Rhys has a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to working with the young goalkeepers of the future.
With his most recent role at Haverfordwest County being head of foundation goalkeepers, Rhys already has a strong familiarity with the players and coaches, allowing him to get straight to work from the get go.
Currently a goalkeeper for Pembrokeshire Football League Division One side, Clarbeston Road, Rhys also gained experience with Genero Adran Premier side, Swansea City in the summer.
Rhys’ passion for developing goalkeepers in Pembrokeshire has been clear throughout his time with the club, and we are looking forward to seeing him continue this in his new role.
Good luck, Rhys!
