Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to announce a strategic partnership with Rising Stars Football Coaching.

Starting from January 2024, we will be working with former Haverfordwest County player and current academy coach, Mikey Loveridge, to help develop a female player pathway for girls in Pembrokeshire and the surrounding areas.

As a club, we have a strong ambition to create a ladies football team in the future, and this is a fantastic start to our journey, with the partnership striving to offer girls from Pembrokeshire the best opportunities to develop themselves as footballers.

The offering will include a Development Centre, which will cater for girls who are either yet to kick a ball or just starting their footballing journeys, with in-house tournaments and friendly games enabling them to build their confidence and develop a keen interest in football.

There will also be an Elite Centre for those who have already experienced playing football, with matches to be played against other girls academies across Wales, as well as the FAW Girls teams across the season.

We look forward to developing this pathway – and indeed the partnership – over the next few months, as we work to give as many aspiring female footballers as possible the chance to develop their skills and passion for the game – which we hope will result in them becoming the Bluebirds players of the future.
