Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to announce a partnership with Hundleton FC, which has been formed to improve community relations and the player pathway in Pembrokeshire.

In what is the first-ever official partnership between Haverfordwest County and a local grassroots club, we will be working together to further develop the player pathway for aspiring footballers in the county, covering the Foundation age groups of 7-11 for girls and boys.

In addition to this, we will be collaborating to help improve grassroots coaches through a mentoring programme, which will enable them to learn from our Academy coaches and develop their skills.

We will also be working together on future projects in a variety of areas, including community, festivals and workshops for staff and players.

Commenting on the partnership, head of coaching Ashleigh Hopkins said: “We are really excited by this new partnership, which we hope will prove to be a real catalyst for developing our player pathway, and also building on the strong links we have within the county.”

Chairman of Hundleton, Glyn Nevatte, added: “Today marks a significant milestone as Haverfordwest County and Hundleton FC join to forge a strategic community partnership.

“As the first grassroots club to link in this way, I am immensely proud and excited to build this relationship, fostering young players’ talents and creating development opportunities for our coaching team to hone their skills”.
