Wow…what a year (this is my fourth end-of-year message, and I think they all started like that!).

At the start of 2023, the club were in a relegation battle to stay in the Cymru Premier, and by the end of it we are in with a realistic chance of a top six spot, having made history in Europe.

This year has been one of the toughest personally, but the most exhilarating professionally. The summer in Europe is something that will live with me forever.

Qualifying for Europe for only the second time in the club’s history, and becoming the first Haverfordwest side to win a tie in Europe, is the kind of legacy I wanted to create when I took over the club. Everybody involved in getting us there, and achieving what we have, will go down in folklore. Tony, Waggy, the rest of the coaching team and all of the players involved made the club and county very proud.

I feel incredibly lucky to work with such an amazing group of people who work very hard to ensure the club continues to move forward on and off the pitch.

The support this year has been off the charts. There has been a big rise in our home and away following, and seeing so many go to Cardiff Met and Newtown for the play-offs, and the huge crowds for our European games means the world to me and I cannot thank the supporters enough. Seeing those 30 of you in Skopje singing all game and clapping the lads off at the end always makes me very emotional.

Thank you also to all of our partners, sponsors, and volunteers for supporting the club and giving your time over the last 12 months. Without everybody connected with the club, we wouldn’t be where we are.

Myself and the Board want to wish you all a very Happy New Year and hope that 2024 is full of love and more great memories.

Diolch!

Rob 💙
