Haverfordwest County welcome Barry Town United to the Ogi Bridge Meadow on Boxing Day, as the Bluebirds continue their push for a top six finish in Phase One of the JD Cymru Premier.

County were in action as recently as December 23, when we were edged out 1-0 by champions and current leaders The New Saints in a competitive encounter at the Meadow.

The Dragons’ last outing came on December 16, when they were beaten 2-0 by Colwyn Bay in the last 16 of the JD Welsh Cup. Prior to that, they suffered a heavy 7-0 defeat away at Connah’s Quay Nomads in the league.

The most recent meeting between the sides came back in August, when two stoppage-time goals from club captain Ricky Watts salvaged a point from a 2-2 draw at Jenner Park, after Ollie Hulbert and Evan Press had given Steve Jenkins’ side a two-goal cushion.

Tony Pennock’s men currently find themselves seventh in the standings, three points behind sixth place Caernarfon Town, who take on the The New Saints tomorrow. Should results go County’s way on Boxing Day, we could find ourselves inside the top six as we head into our final two games of Phase One.

Christmas Competition

To help spread some festive cheer, we are offering supporters who attend  our meeting with Barry Town United on Boxing Day the chance to win a Bluebirds Bonus just in time for Christmas.

The attendance from tomorrow’s game will be combined with the 350 from last Saturday’s game with TNS and converted into a cash prize (each attendee = £1), with a lucky fan scooping half of the jackpot, while choosing a local charity or community organisation to share their winnings with!

Remember, the bigger the crowd, the bigger the bonus!
