Haverfordwest County head to Aberystwyth Town tomorrow, looking to keep their good run of form going and ensure that the race for the top six goes down to the final game of Phase One.

The Bluebirds come into the game in good spirits after the 2-0 win over Barry Town United at the Ogi Bridge Meadow on Boxing Day, a result which saw County move level on points with sixth place Caernarfon Town.

The Seasiders, meanwhile, tasted a 2-0 defeat away at basement side Pontypridd United, with their most recent victory in the JD Cymru Premier coming at the start of November when they triumphed 1-0 over Barry at Jenner Park.

The previous meeting between the sides was back in September, with County running out 3-0 winners thanks to a goal from Rhys Abbruzzese and a brace from Kai Whitmore.

With the Town currently sitting seventh, a victory could be enough to see Tony Pennock’s men move into the top six should Caernarfon fail to defeat Colwyn Bay in the televised game on New Year’s Eve. Moreover, a draw for Haverfordwest County would also lift them into sixth place should the Canaries be defeated.
