The funeral of lifelong Bluebirds supporter, Rhodri Roberts, will take place on Friday 1st December at 9.30am in St. Martin’s Church, Haverfordwest, followed by by cremation at Parc Gwyn Crematorium at 10.45. You are welcome to join the family for refreshments at 12.15 in the Pelcomb Inn.

Everyone at Haverfordwest County AFC was saddened to hear of the recent passing of Rhodri Roberts on November 18th.

A devoted Bluebirds supporter, Rhodri could regularly be found at the Bridge Meadow Stadium taking in the action for many decades.

Born just a five-minute drive from the Meadow in Slade Lane, Rhodri lived all of his life in the town until joining his family in Rosehill, near Broad Haven, for the last three-and-a-half years.

Unfortunately, Rhodri passed away on Saturday following a battle with dementia at the age of 94.

Due to COVID and then age-related frailty, the last game Rhodri watched at the Meadow was in early 2020.

Although many of Rhodri’s friends may also have passed, there may still be some who remember him, and we would therefore be grateful if this sad message could be circulated to those who were acquainted with him.

The thoughts of everyone at Haverfordwest County AFC are with Rhodri’s family and friends at this sad time.
