Haverfordwest County make the journey to Treforest to take on Pontypridd United in front of the live Sgorio cameras on Saturday evening.

The Bluebirds will head into the contest with a spring in their step after last Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Aberystwyth Town at the Ogi Bridge Meadow. Kai Whitmore netted a brace after Rhys Abbruzzese had given County the lead to secure a comfortable win for Tony Pennock’s side.

The Dragons, meanwhile, suffered a 4-0 defeat away at champions The New Saints. Ryan Brobbel and Jordan Williams were on target, with Ben Clark netting a brace to complete a comprehensive win at Park Hall.

The previous meeting between the teams came on the opening day of the season, when we played out a goalless draw in Pembrokeshire.

The Town currently find themselves eighth, with the Dragons one point further back in ninth as we approach the half way stage of Phase One. A first-ever top-flight victory at the USW Sport Park could lift the Bluebirds to as high as sixth should other results go their way, with the competition in the middle of the table beginning to hot up.
