Haverfordwest County return to league action Tuesday evening when we take on Penybont at the Ogi Bridge Meadow.

The Bluebirds were victorious in the JD Welsh Cup on Saturday afternoon, defeating Baglan Dragons of the JD Cymru South on penalties, while the Bridgend outfit recorded a 3-0 win away at Cwmbran Celtic.

Both teams tasted defeat in their most recent outings in the JD Cymru Premier, with County going down away at Pontypridd United while Bont were beaten 4-1 by champions The New Saints at the SDM Glass Stadium.

The Town are currently ninth in the standings with 11 games played in Phase One, with Rhys Griffiths’ side four places higher in fifth. A win for County could take them to within three points of the top six, with the standings still relatively compacted at the halfway mark of Phase One.

In terms of team news, Tyrese Owen will be unavailable for selection following his sending off at Pontypridd, while Lee Jenkins will return to the fold having been suspended for our JD Welsh Cup tie.
