Haverfordwest County AFC have been drawn to face Cardiff City under-21s in the second round of the Nathaniel MG Cup.
The Pembrokeshire Bluebirds, along with our 11 JD Cymru Premier counterparts, enter the competition at this round, following the completion of the first round – other than the postponed tie between Ammanford and Abertillery Bluebirds – last weekend.
The capital Bluebirds are one of two wildcard entries – along with Swansea City – in this year’s tournament, with Darren Purse’s side edging past JD Cymru South outfit Cambrian and Clydach Vale 4-3 on penalties, after the tie ended 2-2 after normal time in the Rhondda on Friday evening.
County reached the third round of last year’s edition, and will be aiming to at least repeat that feat when they welcome Purse’s men to the Ogi Bridge Meadow next month.
All second round ties are due to take place on the weekend of 4-5 August. However, with the second leg of our UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round tie with B36 Tórshavn penciled in for August 3, we will wait for further confirmation regarding when the match will take place.
